3 New Hampshire Republican representatives question Obama’s background 04 Jan 2012 Three state representatives Tuesday asked the state Attorney General’s Office to launch an investigation to determine whether President Barack Obama meets the citizenship requirements to be President. Reps. Laurence Rappaport, R-Colebrook, and Carol and Lucien Vita, both R-Middleton, said they believe Obama is not eligible to be President because his father was not a U.S. citizen, and thus he would not be a natural-born citizen and could not serve as President.
